We’ve been doing a lot of travelling with The Boardwalk Collection blog tour having jetted over to the homeland with Julie at Knitted Bliss last Thurs and now back to the UK, where our next stop is on the ever-vibrant Pomcast with the lovely Pom Pom Quarterly pod duo Lydia and Sophie.
The pomcast went live on the weekend and also features a giveaway for two MORE skeins on their blog, so make sure you enter there as well as for my giveaway on the Kettle Ravelry group (make sure to get your comments in on the thread and social media!) to double your chances of winning 2 skeins of Islington DK next week!
The ladies talk about their impressions of Islington DK and their favourite patterns in the new collection. Listen to it now for a bit of fun… I love hearing these two natter. They are good friends and their easy banter always makes me smile. ;-D
Today’s stop on the blog tour is with Rachel Brown, talented designer of the glamourous Bagatelle cowl from the collection AND dyer of glorious spinning fibres under the alias Porpoise Fur.
Very well-rounded, Rachel is also one half of the Yarn in the City duo and is currently deep in the planning for the next Great London Yarn Crawl Saturday Sept 5th and their exclusive Pop Up Marketplace at Chelsea Town Hall that day from 12 – 7pm …which I will be taking part in! If you are planning to join the crawl make sure to sign up now as the routes are almost all sold out! Tickets to the marketplace are still available online at the link above.
I have to admit that I’ve worn the cowl sample A LOT at the last two yarn festivals as it is not only gorgeous but a really nice light layer to draped over the arms if you are slightly chilly! It also has the added benefit of looking great with my new Talavera. ;-P
I need to make one soon!
Visit Rachel’s blog today to hear more about the cowl and make sure to catch up on any legs of the tour you’ve missed!
