Some exciting news this week…American designer extraordinaire Kirsten Kapur has designed a new shawl using 2 skeins of Beyul fingering for this year’s Through the Loops Mystery Shawl KAL. Kirsten is well known for her stunning shawl designs and this one is no exception. Check out the link above for full details.

I may have had the opportunity to test knit for this design, so can say this with certainty – you are going to LOVE this one! The KAL begins June 1st and you’ll receive one clue each week for 5 weeks. Each week Kirsten will start a new spoiler thread where you may post photos of your progress.

Kirsten has even kindly created a number of pairings to it easy for you to pick colours:

I’ve also got another pink for this one – the barely-blushing Beyul Balsam, this time in thicker fingering.  New neutral Bronze in this heavier weight is also available, which makes a lovely pairing, just in time for the start of the KAL! Black Quartz has been updated and other hues that are out of stock will be restocked throughout the week.

The shop update today is all about blushy neutrals and punchy fun. 🙃

I have a new glowing, juicy pink in the Islington fingering for you this week which I’ve named ‘Sunset‘. This peachy warm pink goes beautifully with restocked neutrals Light Squirrelly and Squirrelly  for a shot of ba-zingy bright and will look great with a tan this summer. Sunset sits right between the 2 pinks already in the Islington collection:

More limited edition Indigo-dyed Westminster baby Camel/Silk today. This light fingering is a shimmering delight. The warmth of the Camel glows through the glazed layers of Indigo to create a truly unique hue and the blend itself is the softest, most luscious ever! Get it while it lasts as there are only a few skeins.

I’ve also dyed more Twist – bouncy 100% British Bluefaced Leicester – this week in IciclePylon, Old Smoke and Rubber Ducky. These hues would also be super fun for the shawl above. The orange is really hard to capture in photos, but is a super bright, nearly fluorescent colour!
All are in shop now.

Baskerville update
The 4th batch of Baskerville has arrived from the mill and I’ll be dyeing up more of the back orders next week and getting them out to everyone who has ordered as soon as they are dry and ready to ship. Thanks for your patience on this, everyone. It has been quite a learning curve with my first exclusive blend and small batch spinning, but the feedback I am getting on the yarn is making it all worth it!
